Celebrate Irish culture at the 2015 St. Patrick’s Day in DC, a true marchers parade that takes place on Sunday, March 15. It’s the 44th annual incarnation of the procession, which started out as an afternoon stroll by a few hundred marchers. Today, it’s a mile-long, two-hour celebration along Constitution Avenue that honors Irish culture and its role in the nation and its capital. Local Irish pubs will also be sponsoring parade parties throughout the day, featuring singers, musicians and dancers. The route runs from 7th to 17th Streets NW, and this year’s theme is “Irish Heart in the Nation’s Capital.” At the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, you can expect to see:
